On a sunny winter's morning and high above the Colorado River, an eastbound coal approaches Parshall, between Flat siding and Byers Canyon, under the care of 5351, 5390, 5393, 5342 and 5369.
The photographers last ever encounter with the Rio Grande Zephyr finds the westbound service accelerating towards Parshall from the 20 mph restriction of Byers Canyon in early April 1982.
